Making a Trading Card

Here are the directions for making a trading card using a Chromebook, Clever and your Google sign in!
(in other words, if you are doing this from home, some steps in these directions might need some parent help!)

1.  Go to Clever.

2.  Go to Mrs. Bothe's Symbaloo, find the box for BigHugeLabs.  This should take you to the trading card.
(if that doesn't work for you, type in Bighugelabs.com in the web address bar, then scroll down until you find the link for Trading Cards)

3.  Go to the internet and save a picture that goes with your topic (Mrs. Bothe reminded you to use the databases that our district pays for you to use!) Make sure you know what folder you save your picture to so you can find it again in a moment!

4.  Back on the trading cards page, click on "choose file" and choose the picture you saved.  (this is where you need to know what folder you saved it in!)

5.  Fill in the boxes for Title and Sub-title.  (Psst, put your name in the Sub-title box!)

6.  Type in your information in the Description Box.

7.  Style:  this is the background color for your card.

8.  If you decide to use Icons, keep it to three or less.  (You don't really NEED these, but some are kind of fun, especially if they match your topic!)

9.  Crop:  this will move your picture around.  (Most of the time I just use the "center" button)

10.  Click on "create".

11.  If you want to change something, click on "EDIT" to go back.  DON'T use the back button, that will delete all of your work!!

12.  If you like your work, click on "download".

13. Go to your Google Drive

14.  Click on the big + sign on the left.  Choose file upload, and now you have it in your Google Drive (okay, not completely sure this step works as is.  I need to try this out on a chromebook to make sure....stay tuned.  This part of the directions will disappear when I try it out)

  2. This blog helped me to understand the fact that even a simply written article can be best over thousands of other highly qualified no-meaning articles. So always keep in mind that use simple but accurate parameters for your blog.
